What support is offered?
SSAFA’s Domestic Abuse Outreach Team provide confidential and compassionate support to anyone in the Armed forces community affected by Domestic Abuse. We can help people recognise abuse, understand their options, and navigate practical and emotional support in a safe and non-judgemental way. We can offer advice, advocacy, or simply someone to listen.
Who can get support?
· Serving personnel, Veterans, and their families affected by domestic abuse
· Spouses, partners, ex-partners, and dependants within the Armed forces community
· Individuals experiencing physical, emotional, psychological, sexual, financial or coercive control.
· Anyone unsure whether what they are experiencing “counts” as abuse and seeking guidance.
· People needing appropriate signposting, safety planning or wider specialist support.
Who are we?
A small team who are dedicated to helping and supporting the Armed Forces Community. Our service has been running since 2025. The team have a combined experience and expertise of over 30 years in supporting domestic abuse survivors.
What area do we offer support?
The team can support beneficiaries no matter where they are located; nationally and internationally.
