SSAFA’s Domestic Abuse Outreach Team provide confidential and compassionate support to anyone in the Armed forces community affected by Domestic Abuse. We can help people recognise abuse, understand their options, and navigate practical and emotional support in a safe and non-judgemental way. We can offer advice, advocacy, or simply someone to listen.
Who we help
- Serving personnel, Veterans, and their families affected by domestic abuse
- Spouses, partners, ex-partners, and dependants within the Armed forces community
- Individuals experiencing physical, emotional, psychological, sexual, financial or coercive control.
- Anyone unsure whether what they are experiencing “counts” as abuse and seeking guidance.
- People needing appropriate signposting, safety planning or wider specialist support.
