SSAFA Volunteer Knowledgebase

Media and public relations (PR)

Updated on

What we do:

  • promote good news stories

  • safeguard the reputation of SSAFA in the press

  • run campaigns to raise awareness of SSAFA

  • prepare employees and volunteers for any interview being published on an external channel,

We are here to support you in making the most of the great work that you do by promoting your stories, events and milestones in the local press.

If you are ever unsure about an issue affecting SSAFA's reputation, no matter how small, please do give us a call at any time.

If you are interested in sharing a local story to publicise an event, fundraising activity or recent news item, do contact the PR team with all of the relevant information. We can then look to draft a press release which we can share with the media.

It is important to make sure you provide us with photography to support any press releases that go out to the media. The media really appreciate good imagery, and this can help interest for your story.
