SSAFA is a member of the Forces Lottery. 

Lottery players have the opportunity to win either £5, £20, £500 and/or £10,000(!) in the weekly draw. Each play costs £1 a week, thus members set up a direct debit of £4.34 per month (a total of £52 per year). 

The active players' unique lottery number(s) are entered in the draw every Saturday. The lucky winners receive their prize automatically by post.
