Overseas Community Health Services

Updated on

SSAFA Community Health Services delivers preventative, clinical and public health services from pregnancy through childhood and adolescence, working alongside Defence Medical Services, Defence children’s services, welfare, command teams and other  partner organisations to improve health, wellbeing and outcomes.

SSAFA operates overseas in three distinct ways:

  • We provide community health services to the British Forces community, as part of our contract with the Ministry of Defence.
  • We run In Service Committees, providing a community hub for members of the Armed Forces and their families.
  • We have SSAFA branches, which provide veterans based overseas a place to go and seek help.

SSAFA provides a number of health and welfare services to British service personnel and their families.
