Helps pubs, bar and brewery people when they need help. They support hundreds of people facing a crisis with practical, emotional and financial support each year.

Specialist areas The Licensed Trade Charity can support with include:

  • Education and training
  • Housing
  • Health
  • Money
  • Mental health

Anyone is eligible for emotional support and practical advice from the helpline – regardless of how long they worked in the Licensed Drink Trade.

For financial support the client, or an immediate family member (living in the same household) needs to be either currently, or have in the past, worked in the licensed drinks trade for a total of 5 years continuously. This can be in one or more jobs.

Support is available for:

  • Utility bills
  • Priority debts like rent and council tax arrears
  • Rent in advance & deposits to secure new accommodation
  • Removal costs
  • White goods & furniture
  • Decorating costs
  • Funeral expenses
  • Disability aids, wheelchairs and mobility scooters
