ABF are the equivalent of the Regimental charity as they are provided with funds by the Gurkha Welfare Trust (who concentrate more on providing support in Nepal).

This is why we go directly to The ABF for Gurkha cases but not for other cases

Gurkha’s who arrive in the UK can receive arrival payments – the Form A process must be carried out to obtain these pledges. This is provided as they will not initially be eligible for any Statutory Welfare Payments unless they are over retirement age: Single £800, couple £1000, Family with children under 18 £1150

They will also consider supporting with brown and white goods, funerals (but NOT repatriation of bodies back to Nepal), flights are supported but only if they wish to relocate permanently back to Nepal.
