Purpose

The GA Document Hub is your team workspace for local documents. It is not the place for national policy, guidance, templates, or sensitive data. This guide explains what goes where and how to use it for all colleagues (volunteers and employees).

What to Use Document Hub For

What NOT to Use Document Hub For

  • National policies, guidance, or templates
  • Templates governed via Volunteer Knowledgebase
  • Personal or beneficiary data

Please note that national policies, guidance and templates should always be accessed via Volunteer Knowledgebase.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Branch Executives: Coordinators for branch folders; help upload files and keep documents organised and up-to-date
  • Services Team Executives: Coordinators for specialist welfare services team folders; help upload files and keep documents organised and up-to-date
  • General Volunteers: View and download access to the files.
  • Volunteer Experience team: Oversees overarching GoAssemble usage, supports best practice guidance, and conducts audits when needed to ensure compliance and smooth operation 

Keeping Document Hub Useful

  • Branch and specialist welfare services team executives are responsible for maintaining relevant content within the local folders. To support them in this responsibility, we have prepared guidance on content management and best practice here.
  • Volunteers should not attempt to move, delete, or edit files.
  • If unsure about where to find a document, contact your branch secretary, specialist welfare services team executive, or volunteer manager.
