How to find your Branch Connection Team (for Branch Contacts)

This guidance is for Branch Contacts to help them find the volunteers within their Branch Connection Team, send them messages and invite them to events. NB if you are not a Branch Contact you will not be able to see the Branch Connection Team on GoAssemble.

Finding Branch Connection Volunteers

Go to the Volunteers page using the navigation panel on the left of the screen.

Click on the All Volunteers tab

In this list you will see all volunteers within your Branch team and your Branch Connection team.

You can use the filter function to search for your Branch Connection team. Click on Filters

Click on All Teams

Click on the downward arrow next to Branch Affiliation, followed by your Area, followed by your region, until you can see your branch's Branch Connection Team. Then click on the box next to the team to select it and press Apply.

All the Branch Connection volunteers for your branch will then show in the list on the main page.

Alternatively you can click on All Teams then use the search bar to search for your Branch Connection Team.

Sending a message to your Branch Connection Team

Once you've filtered your list of volunteers as shown above you can use this list to send a message to some or all of the volunteers in the Branch Connection Team.

Select which individuals you want to send a message to by ticking the box on the left of their name.

Alternatively, you can select all the volunteers in the list by ticking the box next to the Name column heading.

When you’ve selected the people you want to message, click Send message and select if you want to send To, Cc or Bcc.

This will then open a message box, allowing you to type your message and send as normal.

Adding Branch Connection volunteers to an event invitation

Set up an event as normal (Creating an event)

Work your way through the stages until you get to the Invitations stage. In the list of volunteers shown, the names of individuals you can invite are listed first, however if you scroll down you will find a list of any Teams you can invite (rather than selecting people one by one).

Usually the first team is the Branch Team and the second is the Branch Connection team. Click on the team you want to invite, this will display the pop up box below:

Select which option you would prefer, then press Select.

The names of the individuals will appear in the Selected box on the right.

If you have already set up an event, but now want to invite the Branch Connection volunteers you need to go to specific events page and click Manager View.

Scroll down to the Invitations box and click Invite More.

To add the Branch Connection Team, follow the same steps detailed above when inviting a team to a new event.
