When uploading files to GoAssemble, for example receipts when claiming expenses or email attachments, most digital file types can be uploaded, including pdfs, Word docs, Excel docs, Jpegs etc. As with any system, some files types aren't compatible this may be linked to the type of file or the size of the file.
The information below provides guidance on file compatibility.
File size
- The size limit of files uploaded to GoAssemble is 1GB, therefore, it is possible to upload these to the document hub or send these internally within the message centre.
- Sending files externally from GoAssemble is further limited by Amazon web services and the limit is approximately 40 MB.
- Emails that are sent into GoAssemble, from an external source, would be limited by the sender's email account settings.
It is unlikely that you will have a single document that exceeds the file size limit, however, if you are uploading multiple documents you may exceed the upload capacity. If this is the case you will need to upload files separately/in smaller groups, so that the total file size is reduced.
Compatible file types
GoAssemble is compatible with many of the most common file types:
- Microsoft Word: docx, dotx, doc, dot.
- Microsoft Excel: xls, xlm, xla, xlc, xlt, xlw, xlsx, xltx.
- Microsoft Powerpoint: pptx, potx, ppt, pps, pot.
- PDF files.
- Plain text files: txt
- Image files: jpeg, jpg, jpe, png, gif, bmp, tiff, tif.
- CSV files.
