All volunteer details will be migrated over to GoAssemble from SAVI, regardless of role. Below is a summary of key information relating to the migration process.
Welcome Email
You will receive a welcome email once your GoAssemble profile has been set up, with log in instructions. This will be sent to the personal email address we have on file for you.
The welcome message will look like this:
You will then need to click on the link to log on. Please log on using your personal email address and the temporary password provided. For future log ins, you can continue to use your personal email address or your GoAssemble Username.
You can not log into GoAssemble with your SSAFA email address
Two-Factor Authentication
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is enabled as standard when your GoAssemble account is created. You can edit your 2FA settings to send the authentication code to either your personal email or phone, or you can use an authentication app. Please review the Two-Factor Authentication guidance for details of how to do this.
New Email Address
When your GoAssemble account is created you will be given a GoAssemble email address: [email protected]. There may be some variation if your name combination already exists in the system. This email address can be used to email internally and externally.
Your Profile
On GoAssemble you will have your own profile where you can update your own personal details, and you will have the ability to email, internally and externally, via the GoAssemble messaging system. Expenses will also be claimed via GoAssemble. Once logged in to you will also be able to access training courses in Learning Base and all policies, procedures and guidance you need to perform your role, therefore no longer needing to access SSAFAnet.
Your Role Title
For some this transition will mean a change to your role tile or who directly supervises your volunteer activity. Details are in the table below.

Training
In your profile there will be a training tab that will show all your mandatory and optional training that you have completed. If your mandatory training has expired, you will see a banner on your profile advising you that training needs to be completed.
Please note: any training courses booked, but not completed, prior to migration will need to be re-booked once you have migrated onto GoAssemble.
Reporting Issues
If you have any issues logging in with the details you are provided in your welcome email, please email [email protected].
Once logged in, if you are experiencing problems with GoAssemble, that aren’t covered in the User Guides, you can use the “Talk to us” link on the right-hand side of the page in GoAssemble, this will connect you to the GoAssemble support team, who are best placed to help with technical issues.

Information for those retaining O365
For those volunteers retaining their O365 accounts after migration please be advised that your O365 email address will be updated to [email protected].
Your previous O365 email will be linked to the new address and there should be no disruption to receiving emails sent to your old email address. However we recommend that you still communicate with key contacts to advise them of this update to your email address.
Your email signature block will be updated to show the new email address. If your signature block no longer reflects your role, as shown on GoAssemble, please speak with your line manager, VDM or CEM to discuss having this updated. To ensure consistency and clarity across SSAFA, email signature blocks must accurately reflect your official role, as recorded on GoAssemble, and should not include informal or honorary titles.
