Draft Community Engagement Strategy - Feedback Report

Updated on

Update: Following feedback from volunteers and employees on the draft Community Engagement Strategy, the Vision for Community Engagement in Branches document has been developed (previously referred to as the Branch Vision). Please follow this update to learn more.

As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen our community engagement activities, we are currently refining our Welfare Operations Community Engagement Strategy.

The Community Engagement Strategy will set out the shared principles for a consistent SSAFA approach, while recognising that each branch is unique, with its own geography, volunteer strengths, and community needs.

Your experience and perspective as valued colleagues is incredibly important to us. Throughout July and August we requested feedback from all colleagues, this was captured via completing an online questionnaire, attending focus groups or sharing feedback directly, via email or individual meetings.

Feedback Report

The feedback has been collated and sent to the Director of Welfare Operations for review. Your feedback will be used to help shape the next iteration of the Community Engagement Strategy.

There was an update on the strategy at our NDP Townhall in October and we hope to share the final version by early November.

Operational Feedback Report:

During the collation of the feedback a number of operational considerations were identified and collated into a separate report, also shared with the DWO and Senior Management Team, for consideration.
