To help everyone navigate our unified model, we have developed a SSAFA Regional Roles: Responsibilities and Collaboration Overview guide. The infographic provides a breakdown of how our regional employees work together to support volunteers and branches.
We also have the Welfare Operations Services Overview Pack, accompanied by more personal ‘Meet Your Team’ documents. You can find out exactly who is working alongside you to support our shared mission by following these links: for caseworkers and for branch volunteers.
Integrated Support Functions
While your Community Engagement Manager (CEM) and Regional Marcomms Manager (RMM) remain your primary points of contact for community engagement and raising SSAFA’s profile at branch level, they are supported by specialised teams designed to help branches unlock further resources:
- The Statutory Partnerships team: Formerly known as the Statutory Grants team, this team works regionally and locally to strengthen SSAFA’s statutory engagement, build effective partnerships, and secure funding to sustain our services. Their goal is to position SSAFA as a trusted and strategic partner within the statutory sector, and they work directly with regional teams and branches to map out local priorities. - The Scotland Fundraising team: The team coordinates established challenge events, allowing branches to focus on engagement rather than administrative setup. Working with the Community Engagement Manager (CEM) and Regional Marcomms Manager (RMM), they provide the resources and tools needed for high-impact local activities. Beyond events, the team also facilitates trust and foundation grants and cultivate corporate partnerships, which serve as a useful channel for recruiting new local volunteers.
