14 Jul: Continuing the Conversation - Looking ahead as the Network Delivery Project (NDP) closes

Updated on

The below information was sent, via email to all volunteers and employees across SSAFA, on 14 July 2026.

To: all volunteers, employees and trustees

Dear colleagues,

Focus: Looking ahead as the Network Delivery Project (NDP) closes

This is the final edition of our bi-weekly ‘Continuing the conversation: Information on the Network Delivery Project (NDP)’ update.

Since these updates began, we have used them to share rollout plans, answer questions, explain changes, highlight resources and keep colleagues informed as the project progressed across the network.

The NDP model was established to develop a sustainable welfare delivery model, strengthen collaboration, and provide consistent, timely, and quality-assured support for beneficiaries across the organisation. While the project itself is ending, the work continues through the teams and volunteers who deliver the services every day.

What happens next?

Thanks to everyone’s hard work and commitment, NDP rollout is complete. Now that all branches have migrated successfully and the NDP model has been implemented across SSAFA, the project is moving towards formal closure.

The project team is finalising the closure report for the NDP Board over the next couple of months. Subject to final governance processes, the project team will be stood down by the end of summer 2026.

We are also planning an opportunity later this year, following the final NDP Board meeting in September, for all colleagues to hear more about the project's outcomes, key achievements and lessons learned. We will share further details once arrangements have been confirmed.

Closure of the NDP mailbox

As the project moves into closure, the NDP mailbox ([email protected]) will be monitored until 17 July 2026. The project team will continue to respond to any remaining project-related queries up to that date.

Where to go for support

Support for volunteers and employees will continue through existing operational teams and support structures.

Day-to-day arrangements remain unchanged. Please continue to contact the relevant team for your enquiry:

  • For volunteers, your volunteer manager will remain as your constant support throughout your volunteering journey. ‘Meet Your Regional Team’ packs for branch volunteers and for caseworkers have also been developed to provide details of regional support for those roles.
  • The Learning and Development (L&D) Team – for training-related queries, please contact: L&[email protected].
  • The Volunteer Experience (VE) Team – for queries relating to volunteer records, system access, O365 accounts, or GoAssemble, please use the ‘Contact Us’ option in GoAssemble or email: [email protected].
  • The Mosaic Team – for queries relating to Mosaic, please contact: [email protected].
  • Other queries – for anything not covered above, please refer to the Contact Details guide for additional team information.

National resources will remain available, including:

A Final Note

Before we sign off, we would like to thank everyone who has been part of this journey.

The rollout of NDP has only been possible because of the dedication and professionalism shown by volunteers and employees across SSAFA. We have seen colleagues share knowledge, help one another through change, and remain focused on what matters most - supporting members of the Armed Forces community.

This may be the final ‘Continuing the conversation’ update, but the work of supporting beneficiaries and strengthening our communities continues every day. Thank you for being a part of it.

Many thanks,

Kett McAfee, Welfare Operations Project Manager
