Following feedback from volunteers and employees on the draft Community Engagement Strategy, the Branch Vision document has been developed. This internal paper sets out the direction of travel for branches and builds on our shared goals, with a focus on increasing community engagement, raising awareness, and strengthening our network’s resilience.
The Branch Vision will be introduced to all colleagues at the Volunteer Conference 2025 on 18 November. If you have any comments or feedback, please send them to the NDP mailbox: [email protected].
Looking Ahead
Longer term, a SSAFA-wide Community Engagement Strategy will be developed to reflect the broader scope of engagement beyond the branch network. This is why the current document focuses specifically on the branch vision. It does not provide detailed guidance, recognising that each branch operates within unique contexts. Branch Chairs are encouraged to contact their Community Engagement Manager (CEM) for support in developing local engagement plans tailored to localities’ capacity, geography, and stakeholders.
Previous Updates for Context
To provide continuity and context for SSAFA’s evolving community engagement strategy and branch vision, here are two earlier updates shared with all colleagues:
- October 2025: Update on Community Engagement Strategy by Director of Welfare Operation
- A full summary of the consultation findings is available in the Draft Community Engagement Strategy - Feedback Report
