Dear colleagues,
Focus: GoAssemble (GA) - The NDP Volunteer Management System (VMS)
What is GoAssemble?
GA is SSAFA’s new VMS, with everything you need for your volunteering in one place. It’s where to go to message internally, email externally, check your training records, share knowledge, arrange to meet fellow volunteers and find all the news about what’s going on in SSAFA.
Who is it for?
The NDP model brings together our volunteers and employees with all of us working as an integrated team to best meet the needs of our beneficiaries, so as you would expect the system is for everyone, both volunteers and employees.
Key facts:
- It is the ‘front door’ to all the resources you require as a volunteer – links and news articles are all here in one place.
- Just prior to moving into NDP you will be offered a short online GoAssemble training session – it’s a very intuitive system that rewards people who press buttons and have a go, you can’t break it!
- There is a useful GA app that you can have on your mobile phone – Android and IOS.
- GA is where you submit your volunteer expense claims.
- GA enables you to see your training record and clearly flags what needs attention and when.
- It has a basic email system that enables you to send and receive emails both externally and internally – including attachments.
- When you move to GA your email address will change – it is still a SSAFA address and will be in the format ‘[email protected]’.
- Branch events are arranged here and will appear in your GA calendar.
- Volunteer recruitment takes place through GA and makes the process easy and visible for all involved.
Where can I get more information?
For detailed GA usage guides and all NDP processes and procedures go to The Volunteer Knowledge Base – accessible to all volunteers and employees.
For comprehensive NDP information please read the NDP Frequently Asked Questions document, which is a collection of questions that have been posed during and since the trials.
If you are looking for a wide variety of information and wish to view video clips from NDP Caseworkers and previously recorded presentations about the NDP then the place to be is the NDP Information Hub on SSAFA net.
If you no longer have access to SSAFAnet, you will already be on GA, so please refer to the NDP file in the document hub or head to the Volunteer Knowledge Base.
As ever, if you have any questions, please email us at [email protected].
Many thanks,
The Network Delivery Project team
