Dear colleagues,

Focus: two more regions join the NDP 2025 – the South East, and London.

On 23 April we announced that the East of England would be the first region to move into NDP in 2025, and we are now pleased to tell you that closely on their heels two more regions will join – the South East and London.

The NDP works with our collective strengths – dedication, innovation and commitment and we know that those we support will ultimately benefit from the changes, it’s just going to take a little bit of time to get us there. So, here’s a little more detail about it.

When is this happening in the South East/London?

The transition for the region will be gradual, ensuring everyone is well informed and prepared. The formal preparation period takes place the two months prior to the start dates below, followed by a gradual transition of branches into the NDP over a period of weeks.

Transition dates for the South East:

  • W/C 21 July 2025 - first branch moves into NDP
  • W/C 13 October 2025 - last branch moves into NDP

Transition dates for London:

  • W/C 8 September 2025 - first branch moves into NDP
  • W/C 22 September 2025 - last branch moves into NDP

How will it be done?

I’m a volunteer in the South East/London, when will I get more information?

Your Branch Chair and Regional Manager will share detailed information and timelines with you.  In addition, we are arranging face-to-face briefing meetings in your region, as well as some online Town Halls which will be recorded for those who can’t attend in person.

What will I need to do?

Plans are nothing without people, and none of this will happen without the continued support and dedication of you all, our vital volunteers and employees.

Please make sure to regularly check your emails for updates and briefing invitations. If possible, take a moment to read the available information.

Where do I look?

A good starting place is the NDP Frequently Asked Questions document, which is a collection of questions that have been posed during and since the trials.

If you are looking for a wide variety of information and wish to view previous recorded presentations about the NDP then the place to be is the NDP Information Hub on SSAFA net.

For detailed information on NDP processes and procedures then go to The Volunteer Knowledge Base – accessible to all volunteers

If you are unable to access SSAFAnet, you will already be on our new Volunteer Management System, GoAssemble, so please refer to the NDP file in the document hub or head to the Volunteer Knowledge Base.

As ever, if you have any questions, please email us at [email protected].

Many thanks,

The Network Delivery Project team
