How to request a Volunteer SSAFA ID card on Assemble

Updated on

SSAFA ID cards are not compulsory but can be ordered by volunteers if required. In-date, volunteer ID cards reassure beneficiaries, and others by distinguishing card holders as legitimate SSAFA representatives.

How to order a new or replacement ID card

  • Upload a clear headshot to your Assemble user profile.
  • Using the 'Contact Us' button request for an ID card to be ordered.
  • ID Cards can take up to six weeks to be received and will be sent directly to your home address.
  • All volunteer ID cards are valid for five years from the date of issue and must be renewed thereafter.

Please see the article 'Update my details' on how to change your Assemble profile picture.

New and updated cards will only be issued to volunteers who meet the requirements for their role, for example, training and vetting requirements.

ID cards should always be returned and/or destroyed at the point of leaving SSAFA.
