Transition Preparation Guidance for NI and ROI Branch Treasurers

This document contains guidance, and required actions, for Branch Treasurers prior to the transition into NDP. All Branches will transition into NDP and onto GoAssemble during the week of June 8th 2026.

Key Information

  • Under the NDP model of service delivery, all client funds are received into the Branch Office Client Account - managed by the Branch Office (this already occurs in NI and ROI so no significant change).
  • Branches will retain the Branch Admin Account.
  • Any legally restricted funds remain with the Branch, and the Branch Office will work with the branch volunteers to ensure these are still utilised.

Preparation Actions

In advance of your Branch transition week please carry out the following actions to ensure a smooth transition into NDP.  NOTE: as your branch office already holds the branch client account there are few actions to perform compared with the rest of the network:

  • Please provide your Branch Office with details, requirements and gift instrument documents of any restricted funds that they are not currently aware of. This will help them identify any relevant cases to which they may apply. The office will work with the branch to ensure these are still used for the benefit of those it relates to.
  • Any old cases should be closed on Mosaic - please inform your Branch Office who will action this.
  • Financial Records need to be kept for the required 7 years, the Finance Team has access to bank statements so only require any backing invoices and expense claims to be kept. All other documentation can be shredded/disposed of securely, including cheque stubs and paying in books.

If you are a Divisional Treasurer: firstly, thank you for the role you have been performing, and secondly, please do speak to your Volunteer Development Manager about other SSAFA roles that may interest you. Across the network we have a number of ex-Divisional Treasurers who have either moved into the Branch Treasurer role, supported other branches remotely due to a lack of a treasurer or taken on a new role.
